You may be wondering why I’m sitting directly on this quilt. That’s because it has passed the most important test of all: Is it cozy enough to dramatically sigh and refuse to move?
Friends, Heart Strings passes with flying colors.
From my spot on the bed (which I was definitely invited onto), this quilt is full of bold, happy hearts that somehow feel playful and modern at the same time. It’s not too fussy. It’s not boring. It’s that perfect middle ground where humans say things like:
“Oh wow, you made that?!”
And I say:
“Yes. I supervised.”
The Heart Strings quilt pattern uses strong shapes and clean construction, which means the hearts really pop—especially when you play with color. Whether you lean soft and romantic or bold and graphic, this pattern adapts beautifully.
Originally, this quilt was sewn using ombré fabric—and listen, I get it. Ombré is stunning. I stared at it for a long time. Probably too long.
But sometimes ombré fabric can be tricky to find, and I don’t like it when my humans get stressed. Stress interrupts petting.
